Bobbi Maiers

is a freelance writer, editor and designer based in northeast Ohio. She worked as a freelance journalist throughout college and then held full-time news reporting positions for the Moffat County Morning News and the Colorado Springs Gazette, writing features and profiles and also covering a variety of beats including education and healthcare, city government and public safety. Before taking the leap to full-time freelance writing, she was editor and designer of American Hiker magazine and communications manager for a national nonprofit environmental organization based in Washington, D.C.
